Funeral services for Glenda L. Hauf age 81 of Pilger, NE will be on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Pilger, NE with Pastor Deb Hammer, PMA officiating. Interment will be in the Pilger Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service, both at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Pilger, NE. Mnnick Funeral Home in Wisner is in charge of the arrangements.

Glenda passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, NE.

Glenda (Robertson) Hauf was born on April 20, 1937 in Orchard, NE to Glenn Robertson and Minnie Schwagers. Glenda grew up in Orchard, NE and graduated from Orchard High School in 1956. On May 18, 1956, Glenda was united in marriage to Don Hauf at the courthouse in Neligh, NE. They moved to Salina, KS, where Don was stationed in the Air Force and Glenda worked at Swift and Co.

In May of 1962, they moved to Pilger, NE. While living in Pilger, Glenda worked for the Pilger School in the Hot Lunch Program. She also worked for the Pilger Bar and Café for 45 years only missing one day due to sickness and she worked for 8 different owners.

Glenda joined St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Pilger. She was baptized on April 8, 1956 at the First Christian Church in Neligh, NE. She was a current member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and was also a faithful member of its Ladies Aid.

Glenda enjoyed Dominos, sewing, gardening, walking, baking for others, and crocheting afghans. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who meant a lot to her.

Natasha Hauf and son-Zion
Ray Hauf
Daughter- Robin Jensen and fiancé Mike Stone of Pierce, NE and family-
Cody and Carli Jenson and son-Lincoln
Cierra Jensen and fiancé Jimmy Backer
Sister-Betty Bates of Chambers, NE
Brother-Randy and Deb Robertson of Orchard, NE
Sister-in-law- Carol Hauf of Aurora, NE
Numerous nieces, nephews and her extended family at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church also survive her.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Donal Hauf on June 26, 1998, brothers-in-law-Orval and Bette Hauf, Jimmy and Donna Mae Hauf, Lawrence and Esther Hauf and Richard Hauf, sisters-in-law-Anna and Lincoln Henry, Myra and Allard Mosel, LaVerna and Bob Aughe and Dorothy Miller.
