Funeral services for Abigail E. Hughes, age 15, of West Point, NE will be on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nielsen Community Center in West Point, NE. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE and will continue from noon until the time of the service on Thursday at the Nielsen Community Center. Interment will be on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the Byrd's Praire Cemetery in Coal Co., OK.

Abbie passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.

Abigail Elaine Hughes was born July 10, 1996 in Oklahoma City, OK to Daniel R. and Jlynn K. (Keesling) Hughes. Abbie attended Piedmont Elementary School in Piedmont, OK; Westside Elementary and Benton County School of the Arts in Rogers, AR; and was currently attending West Point-Beemer Public Schools. She participated in basketball, soccer and softball. Abbie was sweet and artistic; she enjoyed painting, gardening with her dad, going to the lake, riding her bike and swimming. She loved animals, especially horses, dogs and cats.
